Nova Scotia Boxing legends, past and present, turned out for the Halifax Premiere of "Toy Tiger" at Palooka's Boxing Club on December 12th, 2009. Les Sprague (Cdn light welter champ), Lawrence Hafey (Art's brother and a former Cdn Middleweight champ), Chris Clarke (Commonwealth Welterweight champ), Rickey Anderson (Cdn Welterweight champ) and many more showed up for the fun. The screening was a benefit for Palooka's Amateur Boxing Program.

Toy Tiger had its Canadian premiere on November 23rd, 2009 at the Empire Studio 7 Theatre in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. "Twilight:New Moon" had to be bumped out of the big theatre to accomodate the 700 people that showed up to support their hometown heroes. Well over 200 people were turned away at the door and two additional screenings had to be added with a third likely for December. The screenings were a benefit for former Canadian Lightweight Champion Barry Sponagle who lost his home in a house fire last year. Check out Peter Clarke's article about the premiere, from the new Glasgow news.

On October 3rd 2009 Toy Tiger premiered at the El Portal Theatre during the 9th annual Valley Film Festival. Boxers Ruben Olivares, Bobby Chacon, Carlos Palomino, Ruben Castillo, Mike Anchondo, Randy Shields, Armando Muniz, Frankie Duarte and many more were in attendance to welcome Art Hafey back to the City of Angels.
